Talanta Motorsport Academy Ignited by H.E. The Deputy President of Kenya

On March 27th, the Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua officially launched the Talanta Motorsport Academy in Kasarani.
Hosted by the Cabinet Secretary Hon Ababu-Terrah Egh, and attended by among others including the Chair person of parliamentary Committee on Sports Hon. Dan Wanyama, the launch is part of the Ministry’s deliberate, intentional, and structured efforts to support talent growth in line with the Talanta Hela initiative, which seeks to identify, nurture, and monetize talents.
CS @AbabuNamwamba noted that the Motorsport Academy is set to admit young talents from around the Kasarani ecosystem to become the first students at the academy, trained fully and free of charge, courtesy of the government of Kenya.

” By investing in the next generation of motorsport professionals, we are creating opportunities for our youth, driving economic growth, and promoting Kenya as a motorsport destination,” he remarked.
“This is the face of transformations, taking the fortunes of talented individuals and turning them in livelihoods,” he added.
He thanked the partners for their support in setting up the school.
“We cherish our partnerships and have every intention of broadening this collaboration. We equally thank our members of parliament for walking with us in this sports transformation journey,” he added.
Citing the significance of inclusivity in sport development, the CS added that his ministry was supporting 4 all-female crew for the Rally was part of this deliberate effort.
“What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander. That’s our mantra.”
